How do I join SICL?
SICL registration for fall classes is held in August 23 at 10:00 a.m. in Locke 105, and spring registration occurs in January, but you may join anytime. Membership in SICL is open to all older adults in the San Joaquin Delta College community. A $25 per semester fee entitles you to attend all SICL classes. Fall classes begin on September 2 and end November 21. We hope you will join today!

What subjects do the members enjoy?

Examples of SICL classes: art, bridge, music, financial planning, printmaking, creative writing, drama, scrapbooking, rubber stamping, speaker series, and tours. Curriculum is developed according to the suggestions of the members and the availability of volunteer instructors. Class Descriptions

Where and when do classes meet?

SICL classes meet on the San Joaquin Delta College campus Monday through Friday mornings and afternoons during the fall and spring semesters. As a member, you may attend as many or as few programs as you wish on a first-come, first-served basis. Class Schedule

What tours are available?
Tours to interesting nearby locations are offered throughout the semester. Signups may be made at registration or after classes start. This information is available in Holt 123. Please check there.

How may I become involved in the organization?

SICL has a Board of Directors who are elected by the membership and committees who work to make this a thriving and enjoyable experience. SICL welcomes and encourages your active participation. Governance

Our program is part of 450 other worldwide Learning in Retirement programs on college campuses across the nation and a member of the Association of Learning in Retirement Organization in the West (ALIROW). SICL is an activity of the Older Adult Council of the San Joaquin Delta College Foundation.
